More and more retailers are
moving to the Common Footprint/European Footprint format for
their produce packaging. Pacific AgPak is ready like nobody
else with our line of Modular clamshells. These are designed
to fit both the corrugated and RPC (returnable plastic container)
versions of the Common Footprint trays. The 1 and 2 pound
clamshells are in full production and already being shipped
to retail locations.
Test after test have shown
these clamshells perform as well or better than their old
style counterparts. Pint and 1/2 Pint versions are currently
in development, and a 4 lb. clamshell is in the concept stage.
These clamshells will allow the industry to conform to these
new standards while still shipping the same amount of fruit
per tray, maintaining consistency for the retailer and preventing
losses to the grower.
